  • Mally Harpaz + Nat Philipps and Phoebe Harty

    Tuesday 30/06

    Mally Harpaz, a London based composer and multi instrumentalist (Anna Calvi, James Marples, Hazel Iris), accompanied by renowned cellist Matt Constantine, will be performing, her original compositions from her debut solo album Zoom In Zoom Out, distinct pieces which were mainly written as part of a collaboration with award-winning video artist Clara Aparicio Yoldi, along with some new yet unreleased material from her upcoming second album.
    Mally’s reverence for the profound creates mysterious melodic lines and shares a luscious ambience with other contemporary pioneers.

    Nat Philipps is an improvising saxophonist and composer based in London whose work spans the folk, experimental and jazz scenes. Nat’s playing has found him collaborating with a diverse set of artists. Recent highlights include a year spent touring and recording internationally with Mabe Fratti as part of her project, Titanic. Nat is also a member of the Canadian multi-media art collective Crack Cloud who he’s toured with across the UK, Europe and Asia and prominently featuring on their most recent albums.

    Phoebe Harty is a cellist who grew up in the Lancashire folk scene and is now based in London having graduated from the Trinity Laban Conservatoire. As well as being a BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Awards finalist, Phoebe has recorded and performed with leading folk artists including Kuljit Bhamra, Natalie Haas and Adriano Adewale, while also performing her original music alongside traditional repertoire with the trio Once A Fig, songwriting duo Phoebe & Tom and with saxophonist Nat Philipps.

    Through exuberant performances of groundbreaking repertoire, the Jasmine Quartet (Mira Steenbrugge, Amber Correa, Becca Marr, & Ezra Escobar) brings contemporary classical music into new & unorthodox spaces, reframing the string quartet for the 21st century and advocating passionately for classical music’s most exciting emerging voices. The quartet has collaborated with the foremost emerging composers in the UK, including Molly Frances Arnuk, Deniz Dortok,Margarida Gonçalves, & Luciana Perc.

    After a brief hiatus, the quartet is coming back to play their last gig of the season, featuring works by Zygmund de Somogyi, Danish String Quartet and Paul Wiancko.

    Vijay Strickland is a London based singer-songwriter from New Zealand, blending classic soul influences with modern songwriting and groove-driven arrangements.

    Expect to hear songs from the EP alongside new single 'Money' and fan favourite 'You're So Distant', backed by his four-piece Beachside Bar & Bistro House Band.

    Morgan Rickman is a guitarist, singer-songwriter who blends a '70s soul with a modern edge. Known for his smooth vocals and captivating guitar playing, he crafts a groove that's impossible to ignore, whether performing solo or with a band.

OUR BASEMENT

Bringing something totally unique and exciting to our community. We have renovated our basement into a time capsule which will transport you back to the 70s, with a warm and alluring ambience. Decked out with a hi-fi sound system, come and experience live music in an intimate setting whilst enjoying it with some drinks and empanadas. El Charquito — “the little puddle” — started life in 2024 and has quietly grown into one of the muddy puddle’s biggest treasures. What began as a simple idea has blossomed into two weekly lounge jams filled with nothing but community spirit and exciting musical energy. Everyone’s welcome — all instruments, all levels, all genres.

Watching this little family grow under our roof, hearing new connections spark and new sounds take shape, has been an absolute honour.
