  • MUGRE presents - Cero a la Izquierda: Montañera & Naomi in Blue

    Saturday 30/05

Atmospheres and distortion. Stillness and movement.

Montañera takes us on a journey where the voice stretches like an echo in the jungle, carried through soft synths, electronic pulses and drifting drones. In her live set, she layers her voice in real time, building ethereal, choral textures that feel both intimate and expansive. Rooted in Colombian traditions and shaped by contemporary electronic and ambient sounds, her chants evoke memory, healing and transformation.

Resonating in the body as much as in the mind, Naomi in Blue and her band bring raw energy to the night. Drawing from her British-Chilean heritage, she blends indie, nueva canción-inspired songwriting, and psychedelic influences into a sound that moves between the introspective and the anthemic. Expect layers of distortion, poignant vocals and a punk-leaning edge that give her performances both urgency and depth.

The musical selection for the evening will be curated by Junín, who will ease the room into the right atmosphere through a selected vinyl journey. Moving between Latin America and beyond, spanning from tropicalia to punk, from cumbia to bebop, from plancha to disco.

Presented by Mugre and supported by PRS Foundation, this event explores how music can support the visibility of the Latin community in the UK and celebrate its growing cultural presence.
