ava zarate is an artist/producer from London. Releasing music since she was 16, ava has been supported by Complex, COLORS, The Line of Best Fit, Fred Perry Subculture as well as being championed by Jack Saunders on BBC Radio 1 and Gilles Peterson on BBC Radio 6, attracting global attention. ava’s current sound finds itself in the world of alternative-pop, folk, r&b and psychedelia. With each release, ava captivates audiences with her emotive lyricism, ethereal melodies, and intricate production, forging a sound that is uniquely her own.

Today she performs at The Muddy Puddle alongside her girlfriend, Elise, and her friends Martha, Benny & Louis to perform songs from her new EP and to celebrate her new single 'All That You Are'.

Come join us at The Muddy Puddle on this cosy winter's evening to hear how shared sounds take on new shape when we shift the spotlight between voices, featuring Douglas Fir, J Costi, and Blue Sky July.

Three solo artists support one another's work in this unique event, exploring the character of music produced by different minds and hearts with access to the same tools.

There will be lovely rugs and lamps, drinks and snacks. Pay what you feel, it will be our pleasure to have you along.

Kobe Heath Ngugi (bass), Sacha Harlan (drums), and Laurie Milton (piano) form a young jazz trio that blends a variety of musical identities. Their music aims to reflect the traditions within jazz while incorporating their own desire to push the boundaries of the genre. 

The trio first came together in 2020, playing in a new wave pop band before forming ‘Miles From Nowhere’.

Their first trio gig was in 2021, since then they’ve been developing their own individual tastes and playing styles which allow them to bring their own voice to the trio.

Their music is built on a shared love for improvisation and communication. The trio’s chemistry creates a lively and engaging performance as within the music, they are constantly exploring new textures. They create a sound that is as much about personal expression as it is about musical exploration.
